Forestry Mulching & Fire Mitigation in Evergreen, CO

Evergreen is mountain property in the truest sense: steep, timbered, beautiful, and carrying more fuel per acre than almost anywhere else we work.

Jefferson County foothills properties are dense ponderosa and lodgepole with a heavy understory, and many of them have not been thinned in decades. That combination is what fire behavior specialists call a ladder: ground fuels carry into brush, brush carries into low limbs, and low limbs carry fire into the canopy. Mulching breaks the ladder. We thin selectively, take out the understory and the small-diameter stems, and leave the mature trees you want with space around them.

Access and slope are the real variables in Evergreen. Steep ground and narrow drives change what equipment can reach and how long the work takes, which is why we price after walking the property rather than off a satellite photo. Beetle-killed standing timber is common up here too, and removing it is both a fire question and a safety question, since dead trees eventually come down on their own schedule.

Every project gets the same deal: a property walk, a written scope, a per-acre number, and a scheduling deposit to book the date. See how pricing works →
